The Connemara Celtic Crystal Story
Celtic Crystal is located in the village of Moycullen, only 12 km from Galway city and situated in the heart of the Connemara Gaeltacht
Founded in 1972 by the visionary and talented businesswoman, Mary Munnelly, our award-winning, family business offers an authentic, 'off-the-beaten path' experience, storytelling Irish craft and heritage.
Built on the site of the ‘old Moycullen railway station’ which once formed part of the famous Clifden line, the Connemara Celtic Crystal Visitor Centre is part of the history, and fabric of Connemara.
Visitors meet our talented master craftsmen, and watch them hand-cutting exquisite, Celtic designs from memory without the use of stencils or patterns using traditional, stone cutting wheels.
Being individually hand-crafted, all pieces of Connemara Celtic Crystal can be described as one-of-a-kind. However, we also produce very special, limited edition unique pieces in both clear and colourful cased crystal. These works of art are signed and dated by the master who created them, and are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Our unique Irish Crystal and Crystal jewellery is sold exclusively in our impressive Crystal Gallery and Shop, and in our online store. We do not supply any other outlets.
